The Wild Ones

Who we are:

Joel Robison. Shane Black. Sarah Ann Loreth. We are The Wild Ones. We are dreamers. We are three best friends separated by distance with a love for conceptual photography hoping to share that passion with everyone we meet. We are three working stiffs hoping to take the summer to travel and live our photography dreams that we so often put second because real life gets in the way. We want to give back by sharing our experiences and knowledge by hosting group and one on one workshops all over The United States. We want to bring you the freedom you can only find on the road while photographing every mile along the way. We want to meet you and share in the human experience by using photography to tell your story. 



What is our goal:

Our top priority is to meet you. Photography has changed our lives and we want to show you how it can change yours too. Be it group workshops or one on ones we want to teach you our process from conceptualizing to shooting to editing. 

Why help us:

For each donation, the fee of our workshops decrease. We are not looking for profit. We are looking for the freedom and experience while sharing our joy of conceptual photography. Most of the money will be allocated to supporting three people living out of a car in July and August. To keep our costs low we will use the resources available to us for lodging be it sleeping in cars or camping in parks. We will be cooking food using portable camping stoves so our food costs will be as minimal as possible. We want to get from place to place as inexpensively as possible.

Rewards:

$5 - $25: Two Photoshop actions and online tutorial.

$25 - $50: Button, "The Wild Ones" T-shirt, 8x8 print.

$100: "The Wild Ones" T-shirt, 10% off workshop discount, free signed book.

$200: "The Wild Ones" T-shirt, 15% off workshop discount, free signed book.

$300+: Free workshop admission: three 8x8 prints, signed book, "The Wild Ones" T-shirt. 

Distribution of Funds:
Most of the burden of costs will be from fuel. Our journey will take us over 10,000 miles through 30 states and fuel prices these days are obscene. The next biggest expense will be food. Our plan is to cook whenever we can using a portable camping stove and keep out food costs as low as possible by begging those kind souls willing to lodge us. We will also need to find a rental car to travel as none of us have an acceptable car to live out of with a Volkswagen Beetle and G6 two door. Our intention is to sleep in the car, camp, and stay in the homes of friends but we are reserving 15% for camping fees and the off chance we need a motel room. 10% will be allocated to pay back the kind souls that made our dreams possible. 5% for  any parking and tolls we will accrue from state to state and 1% will be for used to pay for any permits needed for using public parks for our group workshops.
